Expertise: Geomechanics, Experimental Tribology & Granular Matter Research
Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering
City University of Hong Kong
Guest Editor of Topical Collection for Granular Matter [open for submissions]
I teach advanced topics of foundation engineering for the 4th year UG students of CityU and engineering geology-rock mechanics topics for more junior classes. For the MSc students, I teach theoretical-experimental-applied geomechanics topics and foundation engineering. Our research group focuses on experimental micromechanics & experimental tribology, coatings & polymer-based research, soil dynamics, geosynthetics and the frontiers of civil-mechanical engineering, geomechanics-geoscience & granular matter research and geophysics-petrophysics at the small-scale. I am particularly interested in reservoir geomechanics at the small-scale. Currently, I am the Guest Editor for three special issues under the journals Coatings, Materials and Sensors (Publisher: MDPI) and also Guest Editor of a topical collection of Granular Matter (Publisher: Springer). All SIs are open for submission in multi-disciplinary areas of research. Potential authors are encouraged to visit the respected websites for further information or contact me if they wish to submit a manuscript.
